A St. Louis area native, Kassaundra received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Lindenwood University. She brings well over 10 years of experience in Marketing and Communications to Concordia. Although, she prefers not to admit just how many more years. When not serving as Director of Communications, she and her husband, Paul, enjoy all things wine, traveling, and camping adventures with their two sons. Seeking exceptional Christian education for their children is what led Kassaundra and her family to CCLS and to making Concordia their church home.

Marcy Scholl serves as the Coordinator for New Members and is responsible for welcoming and communicating with visitors and new members. She schedules and organizes classes to connect, engage, and celebrate new members into the Concordia Lutheran Church community. She retired after being in ministry for 20 years with Laborers For Christ, part of Lutheran Church Extension Fund. Marcy and her husband Jim are lay founders of Show-Me Lutheran Teens Encounter Christ in St. Louis. They are long time members of Concordia and are the parents of Travis (Jenny) and Joshua, and two amazing grandsons, Justin and Evan.

Sharon Ema started as Parish Nurse in 1997. Her leadership role has expanded to Director for Healing Arts in 2006. In addition to her RN licensure, she is a certified substance abuse counselor (CRADC) in Missouri, and has completed parish nurse and parish nurse coordinator trainings. She has presented at conferences and workshops. Sharon is currently involved in community organizations, including Shepherd’s Center of Webster-Kirkwood. At Concordia, she is departmental leader for Human Care, Care Ministries, Older Adult Ministry, Visitation and Pastoral Care. Her role includes health educator, health consultant, referral source, volunteer coordinator, integrator of faith and health, and health advocate as she reaches out to the lost and the least with Christ's healing. She is the wife of Tim and mother of three grown children, Andrew (A.J.), Ben, and Joshua. For fun she loves to spend time with her family, including her grandchildren, making jewelry, crafts and other activities.

Katie Killian serves as the Director of Worship Arts for Youth as well as Assistant Worship Leader. She is passionate for the Lord and music making this the perfect vocation. As the CCLS Elementary Music Teacher between 2011 and 2021, Katie engaged children in learning through singing, instruments and other media. Her main goal with the children and youth of Concordia is to provide opportunities for worship participation while using and improving the artistic gifts given to our younger members. Along with sharing her gift of music with the congregation on Sunday mornings, Katie enjoys making music with two bands in the community. Katie is married to Kent and they have three young adult children.

Her resume includes experience teaching K-12 music; playing for services on organ, piano, and flute; and directing children’s and adult choirs, handbells, instrumental ensembles, and bands. She holds a bachelor’s degree in education with a director of parish music minor and a master’s in church music, both from Concordia University Chicago. She is presently finishing her doctorate (all but dissertation) in music education from Liberty University. She and her husband, Bill, have two grown children and five grandchildren. Carolyn desires to use her talents in collaboration with others to glorify God and edify the church. She also enjoys walking with her husband in St. Louis parks, gardening, reading, and spending time with family whenever possible.

Stacy Knorp serves part-time as a Media Specialist for Concordia where she helps to vision, coordinate and produce visual media that furthers the mission of the church. Her work ranges from graphic design to the production of videos from start to finish. Whether it’s recording other staff, creating informational videos or interviewing members of the church about how Concordia has helped them grow as disciples of Jesus, she aims to help tell stories that are meaningful and engaging.
Stacy is a graduate of Concordia University, Ann Arbor, MI where she earned a degree in Education, Art and English. She and her husband, Brendan, are the proud parents of two wonderful daughters, Lydia and Evie.

Sharon Karleskint is the Department Administrator for Adult and Older Adult Ministries. In April 1989 she joined the staff of Concordia as Executive Assistant. Her current responsibilities include maintaining the church membership records, listing the official acts of the church, assisting with weddings, funerals, human care, facilities and providing staff support as needed. Her duties also include as "stage manager" for our four Sunday morning worship services, ensuring everything is choreographically as perfect as possible. Sharon and her husband Tom were married for 43 years until his death in 2013. They have three grown children Tom, Tori and Wesley and two grandchildren. For fun Sharon enjoys spending time with her grandson Tommy’s school activities and sporting activities, and keeping up with granddaughter Elayna.

Patty Wilson serves as an assistant to all ministry staff at Concordia. She has served on staff since 2000. Her main responsibilities include production of the Church bulletins and newsletters and support to the Youth Department. She also has a hand in poster design, and mailings. Patty has a BFA in Graphic Design from Kansas State University (go Cats!). She is married to Phil and has four children, Bradley, Matthew, Melissa and Zack. She enjoys logo/graphic design, designing in her home studio, camping, and is active in Boy Scouts and Venture Scouts.

Jodi Carlson serves as a part-time logistical coordinator for student ministry. Jodi helps the student team plan and carry out youth events ranging from service opportunities and fun events to servant trips. Jodi is an Iowa native, she received her degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Iowa State University. She worked for eight years for Parabolic Productions, a former video production company serving the Lutheran community. Jodi’s passion for Christ and the younger generations motivates her in her role at Concordia. Jodi and her husband, Casey have five children, who are all very active in things they love, including sports, music, theater, and academics. The family loves to travel the United States in their RV, seeing God’s incredible creations all around and making memories to last a lifetime.

Grace serves on the student ministry team at Concordia, assisting in coordinating and facilitating events for middle school students, high school students, and young adults. Grace has a particular passion for working with youth, and she loves getting opportunities to connect with Concordia’s student population and help them to grow in deep relationships with the Lord. She also occasionally assists in leading music worship. Grace graduated in 2023 from Saint Louis University with her degree in psychology and plans to someday continue studying mental health counseling in graduate school. She has been a long-time member at Concordia since her family joined when she was a baby. Having grown up as a student at Concordia, she is thrilled at the opportunity God’s placed before her now to aide in Concordia’s student ministry. Grace’s other passions and interests include traveling, coffee, dogs, and playing pickle ball.

Kirk Lowry is part of the Facilities team at Concordia. Prior to working here, he served the City of Ellisville for 26 years. Kirk and his family have been members since 2008 and very active in our children and youth ministries. He is married to PJ and has two children, Ty and Chase. Camping and cheering on his kids in sports are some of his favorite hobbies.

Barry Hirth has served on the Facilities team since 1990. Barry has a BA in Sociology from the University of Missouri Columbia. Barry and his wife Suzanne have three boys, Barclay, Devon, and Colin, all CCLS graduates! Barry also has a grandson named Elliot. Barry loves watching his grandson grow up and is an avid golfer.

Greg has been a member of Concordia since 1995. He is deaf and loves to work in maintenance, helping to remodel both the church and school part time, as well as working for Mills Apartments for 20 years. He worked in maintenance at Apartment and Maintenance Engineering at Marriott Hotels for 6 years, and has run his own handyman business for 10 years. Greg went to the Technical Vocational Institute in Minnesota to study Electrical and Mechanical Tech as well as HVAC Tech.

His wife's name is Melissa and his son graduated from CCLS. Greg enjoys model railroad.

Paul Murdick is the General Manager for TSI Global Companies, and serves Concordia Lutheran Church Worship Arts Technology as an Audio Engineer. The past 30 years Paul has been involved with AV systems. In the early years Paul started his technology path in Live production at the Fox Theater working for many national artist and supporting special events. The past 20 years he has worked in the Integration of AV Sales for Commercial entities, Sports Stadiums, Performing Arts Theaters, Churches etc. Paul found his passion for Technology starting as a Drummer for the Lester Family of St. Louis during his HS and College years. Paul enjoys the arts, along with Golfing and Motorcycle riding, and when time permits to go the Islands, surfing.

Debbie Davis serves as the Coordinator for Pre Cana. The Pre Cana seminar is for couples planning their wedding at Concordia and is designed to help grow couples grow in their relationship with God and with one another. The seminar also includes the Prepare/Enrich Inventory. Debbie and her husband Charlie are certified Prepare/Enrich facilitators and enjoy working with couples to prepare for their life-long journey of marriage. Debbie is a teacher and holds a BA from Fontbonne University, MAT from Webster University, and Colloquy from Concordia University - Chicago. In addition to her responsibilities at Concordia, Debbie serves Lutheran High School South as the Director of Resource Room Services. Debbie and her husband Charlie are the proud grandparents of Nico. She enjoys spending time with her family and sharing the love of Jesus.

Ron serves Concordia as Pastoral Assistant, helping with Worship and teaching the Concordia Information Class.

Ron grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and attended Gospel Lutheran Church and School. He continued his education at Milwaukee Lutheran HS, Concordia Milwaukee, Concordia Senior College in Ft Wayne Ind and then Concordia Seminary (MDiv) and Washington University (M.S. Psychology). He presently is serving Lutheran Church Extension Fund as Chaplain. He served at Lutheran High School South as Campus Pastor as well as Assistant Pastor at Hope High Ridge, Salem Lutheran Church in Affton and Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. He is the Spiritual Director and President of Teens Encounter Christ. He also served as Spiritual Director/Worship Director for many of the National Lutheran Youth Gatherings.

He and his wife, Cindy have been married for 38 years -married at Concordia. His youngest son Steve is serving as Pastor at Resurrection Lutheran in Santa Clara California and St Mark’s Lutheran in Sunnyvale, California; eldest son, Tom is serving as Associate Pastor at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wentzville, MO. Tom is married to Shayla and they have two sons.
