Frequently Asked Questions

    • During Concrete and Cranes, children will head to a "construction site" where they will build their faith on the rock-solid foundation of Jesus' love. Children will participate in a Worship Rally, Bible study, active fun, crafts, and a mission project.

    • Children will be in groups called Crews. These small groups consist of 4-7 children of about the same age/grade level, and are led by wonderful adults and teenagers called Crew Leaders.

    • On Monday morning, you will stop at the Registration Desk in the lobby. There you'll receive your child's crew assignment card.

    • You'll walk your child(ren) up to the Concordia Commons. Please wait with your children until the Concordia Center doors open at 9:00 a.m. VBS Crew Leaders will not be ready to receive children before then.

    • Once the doors open, please follow the traffic flow (green arrows) to find your child's Crew. The sections and pews will be clearly marked with Color and Crew Number. Your child will sit in the same pew every day. Their Crew Leader will be there ready to help you sign in your child on the clipboard and give them their name tag.

    • Parents who arrive before the noon dismissal are welcome to wait in the Concordia Commons until the doors open. If you need to pick up a child early, just let us know.

    • When worship concludes, you will follow the same morning flow of traffic (green arrows).  To "check out," please initial by your child’s name on the Crew Leader’s clipboard. Ensure the Crew Leader knows that you are leaving with your child.

    • If you need to change an authorized pick-up person, please let us know.

    • On Friday, parents are invited to join us for a final Worship Rally at 11:40 a.m. Find a spot in the back rows and join in.

    • Every day, please have your child wear closed-toes shoes and clothes you don't mind getting a little messy! VBS is an active, fun week!

    • The forecast is usually hot, and we are inside most days for recreation time.
Thursday will be an outside water play day!

  • We strive to be allergy aware when preparing snacks. If your child cannot eat a certain day’s snack, please pack a safe snack for them to enjoy. Label it with their name, and hand it to your child's Crew Leader upon arrival. Crew Leaders will hand out your child's snack at your child's assigned snack rotation.

Check back here for the daily snack menu.
