Many need assistance within our congregation and community. Currently, we are looking for kids, teens and adults to help in the following ways:

  • Phone Callers: Many of our members are at home alone during this time and we would love to reach them with a personal phone call! If you would like to make calls to spread some cheer, let Sharon Karleskint know at  .

  • Card MakersA handmade card and message in the mailbox can certainly brighten someone’s day. If you love crafts and want to make cards, just drop them off at church and we will make sure they get sent out. The church lobby is open Monday – Friday 9:00am-4:00pm.

  • Shoppers & Delivery DriversWe may have members who are self quarantining that would appreciate a home delivery of food or other supplies. If you would be willing to shop and deliver, let Sharon Karleskint know at  .

  • Food and SuppliesMembers of our community are in need of supplies and we expect a greater demand as people lose jobs and kids are home from school. Specific items currently needed include hearty soups, pasta, peanut butter, tuna, cereal, fruit cups, granola bars, shampoo, diapers (adult and child), and over the counter medicine. Drop supplies Monday-Friday at Concordia from 9:00am-4:00pm.

Members on a Mission

Help us to spread love and light to our community during this time of uncertainty! During the months of June, July and August, we encourage you to share the gospel by performing at least 10 acts of love and kindness. We know that each family is unique so we have included many different kinds of acts to inspire you...even some opportunities to create your own missions!

Desire some connection with others? Reach out to others with a phone call, or card and include a scripture or prayer. It takes a moment of your time to bring joy to another (and you too!)

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (If you would like a list of names and numbers to call, please contact Sharon Karleskint at  .

Friend to Friend

Friend to Friend is an opportunity for you to connect, engage, and share with a new family at Concordia that is registered to attend the next Lutheran Introduction, which teaches what we believe as Lutherans and why we believe it. Please consider being a Friend to Friend and attend the session with them. This may also be a time for you to refresh what you believe. At Concordia we value the relationship we share in Christ Jesus and with each other as we participate in ministry together.

If you are interested in being a Friend to Friend, please let Marcy Scholl know by emailing her at or call or text her at 314.973.6807.
