Serving in Worship
We are always looking for dedicated people to assist in running the sound board for worship in the Sanctuary and Concordia Center.
USHERS and GREETERS
Outgoing people are always needed to help in welcoming guests, handing out bulletins, and helping to collect offerings.
The Altar Guild helps prepare the altar and set up communion for worship.
Help serve the elements (the bread and wine) during Communion.
Help serve coffee and donuts after services during Sunday fellowship.
Offer and make available the refill of communion elements to the Communion assistants.
SUNDAY PRAYER MINISTER
Pray for and with others as requested on Sunday mornings.
The Worship Team leads music for 9:30 am Concordia Center worship and 10:30am Sanctuary worship with song leaders, guitars, drums, keyboards, and other solo instruments. Our youth also help lead worship for youth events.
The choir sings once-a-month for Sunday morning services in the Sanctuary at 8:30am and meets for 1-2 evenings of rehearsal prior to singing. No choral experience or voice training is necessary, and no audition required.
Join with the CK Deaf Ministry in signing a song in ASL (American Sign Language) during worship. Hearing-abled persons are encouraged to join - you'll get to know people from the Deaf Ministry and learn some sign language as well.
THE FESTIVAL CHOIR
The Festival Choir sings for the Christmas Cantata, which is a Sunday morning service featuring traditional choir music and orchestra. The choir of youth and adults meets for rehearsal on Wednesdays in November and December and performs the Cantata the Sunday before Christmas.
